  • DR DAVID SNOWDEN

    Partner, BA MA MB BChir Cambridge 2003 MRCGP

    Dr. Snowden qualified in Medicine at Cambridge university in 2003. He trained as a GP in Suffolk, before relocating to Chester 2008 where he joined The Elms Medical Practice. His special interests are, Dermatology, Minor Surgery and Mental Health. In his spare time Dr. Snowden enjoys Football, Running and Hiking.

  • DR AIDAN MAGRATH

    Partner, MB ChB Liverpool 2006, MRCGP, MRCP

    Dr. Magrath graduated from Liverpool University in 2006, he then joined the Elms Medical Practice as GP in 2014. He has a special interest in General Medicine and Cardiology Dr. Magrath is also newly qualified GP Trainer and a Joint Clinical Director for our local Primary Care Network. Outside of work as well as having a young family, he also enjoys the outdoors, especially riding bikes.

  • DR OLIVER JACKSON

    Partner, MBBS Newcastle 2008, MRCGP, PGDipSEM

    Dr Jackson qualified from Newcastle University in 2008 and then completed his GP training in the North East in 2014 (including a year out of training working in an Emergency Department in Australia). After relocating to the North West he joined The Elms in 2015. Medical interests include Musculoskeletal Medicine, Paediatrics and Palliative Care. Dr Jackson is also a GP Tutor supervising medical students from Liverpool University during their placements here at the practice. Outside of work Dr Jackson enjoys spending time with his young family, getting outdoors as much as possible including running, cycling and time in the garden.

  • DR JOANNA CLEETON

    Salaried GP, Manchester 1988 MbChB

    Dr. Cleeton qualified form Manchester University in 1988, Completed GP training in Wrexham, she then set up a surgery from new in Borras Park in the 90's. She has spent 7 years as a GP in a rural town in New Zealand. on her return to the UK Dr.Cleeton has worked in Chirk & Oswestry the joined the Elms in 2018. Special interests are in women's health, nutrition & encouraging a physical and healthy lifestyle. She practices what she preaches and participates in a very healthy and active lifestyle attending Zumba & HITT classes, as well a weekend walking. Enjoys the theatre & live performances. Other interests include being a keyboard playing in a Jazz band who play all over Chester/North west, raising money for charities.

    Dr. Hughes qualified at Liverpool University in 2013 and also did her training in Liverpool too. She Joined the Elms Medical Practice as a Locum in 2020 and is now one of our GP's. Her special area of interest is women's health. Interests outside work are running and gardening.

  • DR ELIZABETH HARDING

    Salaried GP, MBChB Birmingham 2015, MRCGP 2021

    Dr Harding graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2015 and then did her training on the Wirral and Chester. She worked with us as a registrar and then returned to The Elms in 2021. Her special interests are Women’s health and Frailty. Outside of work her interests are cycling, netball and football.

Nurse Practitioners

  • DAVID GREENHALGH

    Advanced Nurse Practitioner

    David qualified in 2009 and went on to work at the Countess of Chester Hospital in AMU then worked in WiCs and Primary Care Unit in A & E, Before starting here at The Elms Medical Practice in 2016. David has a Masters Degree in Advance Clinical Practice which allows him to prescribe medication. Outside work David enjoys spending time with his family and rock climbing.

    Qualified in 1997 from Swansea university

    Julia has worked in many places due to her husband’s Military career, including ITU and A military medical centre. She is an advocate for cervical screening here at the practice. She enjoys walking her springer spaniel and running.

The healthcare assistant's role is to assist the GP and nurses to provide care. They can do a number of tasks, such as, taking blood, ECGs, BPs, Health Checks. We have healthcare clinics every day of the week at Fountains.

Reception

Our reception team do a fantastic job in keeping the practice running smoothly and looking after the interests of the patients. The phones and reception desk can be very busy so if you have to wait we would welcome your patience. The reception/Admin Team don't just answer the phone and book appointments they have a wide range of duties including telephone queries, prescription requests for GP's, action results when GP's have reviewed them, invite patients in for reviews, request Fit for Work notes and send to patients, accept incoming samples, liaise with pharmacies, hospitals and other GP practices, register new patients, chaperone, incoming and outgoing post, room stocking.

Community Nurses

We have District Nurses attached to the practice who provide nursing care for patients confined to their homes, Wendy Williams, Lisa Latham, Anne Carter and Lowri Evans. They can be contacted on Tel: 01244 319189, Fax: 01244 347940.
